This role is for a senior strategist who has experience working with drinks clients across on premise and can work on broad retail, experiential and social brand experience platforms. Its fundamental to have understanding of the on premise environments from rate of sale driving activities to brand experiences and know it’s a place in which people fall in love with brands not just buy them. You will work on a diverse range of drinks brands on multiple briefs from beer brands in the UK to launching new to market soft drinks in Western Europe. You believe in the power of brand experience and can lead strategy that alters behaviours to the benefit of your client brands. You want to inspire ideas that people want to spend time with and share.
Day to day responsibilities?
You will be working closely with Heineken and PepsiCo Futures agency and client teams.
You will not only be answering briefs but acting as a strategic partner to the client business spotting opportunities to inspire and unlock new business.
You will be responsible for writing detailed creative briefs and activation plans to deliver everything from more tactical on premise promotions or experiential activities through to multi channel brand platforms typically encompassing retail, experiential and social.
You will work alongside accounts and creative as well as our insight partners ensuring insight and strategic plans are honoured in the creative output.
You will be responsible for thought leadership for your key clients, regularly inspiring them with everything from trends to strategic solutions.
You will be responsible for understanding the clients business, the problems they face and defining thought leadership opportunities to drive the business forward.
At times you will work on new business pitches and will get a broader exposure to briefs on our other brands.
You will run working sessions to bring client and agency people together in a fluid manner.
You will create well-structured and designed presentations that are clear, emotive and straight talking.
You will use RPM data tools and strategic ways of working to inspire your briefs.
You will work with the strategy team to develop our strategic intelligent tools.
You will receive coaching, mentoring and training as required to help develop your expertise. Working within a strategy team with diverse skillsets you will further find opportunity to learn and develop working within the team. Of course, others will want to learn from you as well!
Type of work?
The briefs will be highly varied from more tactical retail and experiential briefs to broader brand experience platforms that typically cover retail, experiential and social. For Heineken briefs are mainly UK market and for PepsiCo Western Europe often with specific city launch and acceleration focus.
